21 year old Shavonte Samuels of Centralia is in custody after turning himself in to police in connection with a deadly shooting Sunday on East Kell Street. Authorities say Samuels is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and is one of two suspects believed to have been armed during the incident. A 19 year old man died from his injuries, while three others were treated and released. Samuels is expected in court today as the search continues for additional suspects.

He was one of just 12 broadcasters nationwide chosen to participate in discussions and provide input during the design and rollout of Google’s digital broadcast automation platform. Although the majority of Ed’s career—spanning roughly four decades—was rooted in music radio, he transitioned into news and information programming in 2012. He says the move into spoken-word broadcasting was a natural evolution after decades of experience in multiple areas of the industry.
