Franklin County Multiplier Set At One Point Zero For 2025 Taxes

State officials say Franklin County property assessments remain right on target heading into the next tax cycle. Illinois Department of Revenue Director David Harris announced a tentative equalization factor of one point zero, meaning assessments are in line with the required one-third market value. The figure is based on property sales from 2022 through 2024, with assessments averaging just over 33 percent. Officials stress the multiplier does not directly raise or lower tax bills, which are set by local taxing districts based on funding needs.

Although the majority of Ed’s career—spanning roughly four decades—was rooted in music radio, he transitioned into news and information programming in 2012. He says the move into spoken-word broadcasting was a natural evolution after decades of experience in multiple areas of the industry.
